I have a longer post coming one of these days about all the web comics I love.
But I was just talking to someone in the office about Wallace the Brave and threw some links into a chat. What better follow up than posting those links here?
So if you feel like it, check out Wallace the Brave. It’s a web comic about a bunch of kids growing up in a small town named “Snug Harbor” out in Rhode Island. There’s definite anemoia there, a nostalgia for a place I’ve never been to and a life I’ve never experienced. Maybe it’s the same for you?
I was asked to share one of my favorite comics of the Wallace the Brave series. Here it is –
Instagram link and gocomics link for the same comic.
The author has also published their comics as compendiums. The first book in the series was called Wallace the Brave, and then came Snug Harbor Stories and so on. One of the latest ones is called “Are We Lost Yet?” and it’s the cutest idea for a bunch of kids to knowingly get lost in the woods in their backyards.
Also, I’m always going to promote that you read a book through your library instead of buying it. So you can check out the books on Hoopla through your local library – link.
